Both the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation and the Edmonton Rowing Club regretfully announce that we will be postponing Row for Kids to 2021. This annual event is something that we all look forward to each September, and know it is a big part of your summers. This unprecedented time has meant a lot of tough decisions for both organizations. Your health, safety and peace of mind is most important to us, and with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we know that it is a difficult, but necessary decision to postpone this year’s event. We simply cannot host Row for Kids while maintaining proper physical distancing and following current guidelines and protocols put into place by our partners at Alberta Health Services and Rowing Canada Aviron.
However, kids do not stop getting sick during a pandemic, and Stollery Kids need support now more than ever. If you have interest in making a donation or learning about our other fundraising opportunities, please visit stollerykids.com
If you are interested in participating in rowing this summer in a different format, the Edmonton Rowing Club is officially open for singles or cohort doubles rowing for its members. They also hope to have an announcement about learn-to-row sessions soon! You can learn more at edmontonrowing.ca
We look forward to seeing you on the water in 2021!
